Vertain Software is a privately held company headquartered in Berkeley,
California, with clients in five continents.
The company was founded in June, 2000, to provide low cost, intelligent
website monitoring solutions.
Vertain founders are veteran eCommerce professionals who understood
early on the need for script-less monitoring technology, which
allows quick and inexpensive adaptation of monitoring specs when
site content is changed (unlike script-based technology,
where expensive script programming is required). Vertain has developed
a next-generation technology, where the monitoring specifications are
data-driven, and can be entered and modified via simple data entry
